Valve has concluded their investigation into the recent match fixing allegations made against a number of individuals regarding a CEVO match played last Summer. They concluded that the allegations were substantiated enough to prohibit the named players from participating in future Valve sponsored events, and ESEA fully supports their findings.
To that end, the following individuals are no longer eligible to participate in any Valve-sponsored events, and have additionally been banned from ESEA:
While the initial bans placed are set to expire in one year's time, ESEA reserves the right to extend the bans indefinitely.
To be clear, after these events originally took place in August, 2014, ESEA put into place a policy that explicitly prohibited players, team managers, or team sponsors from betting on their own matches.
We strongly encourage all organizations, regardless of their affiliation with Valve, to mirror and enforce these bans so that a clear message is sent -- there is no place for match fixing in professional gaming.
